Uniform Inspection & PWD Weigh In

Posted by Christopher Novack on February 10, 2012 at 1:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Tonight's the night!!!!!!

Nolan Hall in the main church building

Please arrive no later than the times listed below. In a change from last year, we will have Uniform Inspection first. Your Scout should wear all Class A items he owns: hat, neckerchief, shirt, pants, socks, etc. Shirt should be tucked in, he should be nicely groomed, etc. Scouting’s uniform is one of the “7 Methods Of Cub Scouting” and we want to instill it’s importance in our Scouts.

After inspection, your Scout should take his car to the qualifying line. If it passes inspection (weight, height, width, etc.), it will go in the overnight impound and not be touched until race time. We will have a table with some tools and items to modify your car if it doesn’t meet the requirements.

Once your car in impounded, you are free to leave.

•    Wolves:    6:45 pm

•    Bears:    7:00 pm

Hello Pack 1776, this weekend is a busy one. We've got pancakes to make, popcorn to distribute and a church to clean. Let me explain each one....

Friday, November 4, Pack Meeting:

Same time (7:00 pm), same place (La Salette Hall), Class A Uniforms (always)

ST. ANN'S CLEANUP

This is our Service Project to our Chartered Organization. Unless you're involved with popcorn setup or pancakes (see below), we're asking all Scouts and families to arrive Saturday, November 5 at 9:00 am in the lower parking on St. Ann's (near the recycle bins) to help clean up the grounds. This will is appropriate for all ages. We're going to scour the grounds for trash pickup and raking/bagging some leaves (not all, just some).

If you have rakes and a gas leaf blower, please bring these items. We'll provide garbage bags. Everyone should have gloves and wear layers to stay warm. We plan for this to be less than 1 hour of work.    Popcorn will then be available for pick up from 10-10:30 am. The popcorn folks should have your popcorn ready to be picked up if you sold some door-to-door. This will also be in the lower parking lot. So work for an hour, get your popcorn, enjoy the rest of your day. Easy!

NOTE: If you cannot get your popcorn between 10-10:30 am, PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SOMEONE TO GET IT FOR YOU. We cannot store the popcorn. You or someone you designate must come get it.

POPCORN DISTRIBUTION

Those who signed up to distribute popcorn need to also meet Saturday, November 5 at 9:00 am in the lower parking on St. Ann's. The trailer with the popcorn should be there ready to unload and set up. We separate the popcorn into the dens, and then each den separates into scout. When the families above are done with the cleanup, they can come and get their popcorn. If you get done early setting up, please help clean up.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST AT SFE

This is our Service Project to the School. We need 2 more parent-scout combo to help with this. Please contact me ASAP. Please, please, please. Brian Murray will contact you with times and will be bringing the equipment and supervising. All you have to do is show up and cook while your Scout (in Class A uniform) takes pancakes inside. This is a 2 hour commitment. You'll also need to make plans to get your popcorn between 10-10:30 am at St. Ann's.

Call or write with questions. Yours in Scouting,

Mike Menninger
