Pack 1776 will participate in this event and we hope you and your entire family can come out. Look for the Den 11 flag (bright blue flag on a cross-T) somewhere in the throngs of people there. All scouts should wear their Class A’s. No Class B’s for this very serious and somber event. Below is the event info from the district:

Scouts from all over the Atlanta area will join together to pay tribute to fallen soldiers at the Marietta National Cemetery on Saturday, May 23, 2009.
Uniformed scouts will be given flags to place at each grave; they will then step back and salute the flag and the grave. Each scout who participates will receive a community service patch, provided by the National Memorial Day Association of Georgia.
Registration begins at 8:00 am at the cemetery entrance, located at 500 Washington Ave., Marietta, GA. A brief program will begin at 8:30 am and concludes with the placement of the flags. There is no registration fee. Parking is available at the Cobb County Main Library, which is across the street from the cemetery. (Map Link: http://tinyurl.com/pps6a2)
